My teenager has been using incognito mode constantly and I’m concerned about what they might be accessing. I’ve already tried a few basic monitoring apps but none seem to capture private browsing. Is there any way to secretly see that history or am I out of luck?
Modern phones sandbox private browsing pretty tightly, so no app can secretly pull incognito data unless it’s logging traffic at your router or running as a system-level device profile. Most “stealth incognito tracker” apps you’ll find online are either snake oil or require root/jailbreak anyway. If you actually want visibility, just point the phone’s DNS to something like NextDNS or enable web logging on your home router—catches everything regardless of private mode and only needs a quick one-time network tweak.
