My 13 y/o just got really active on Facebook and I’m worried about who they’re talking to. I don’t want to freak them out or break trust. Any way to keep an eye on things without them noticing?
Facebook’s pretty locked down, so any app claiming to silently pull DMs is either marketing fluff or requires rooting, which’ll instantly trip security flags and likely get the account locked. Realistically, you’ll need 10 minutes with the phone in hand to set up something like Qustodio or Bark, and even then you’re getting activity summaries and keyword alerts, not a live feed. If keeping trust intact matters, a quick heads-up like “we’re testing standard family controls for a bit” usually causes less friction than trying to run a stealth op.
