I’m getting a bit worried about my kid’s screen time and I want to set some boundaries, I’ve heard iPhone has some built-in features to restrict certain apps and set time limits, but I’m not sure how to access them or if they’re effective. I’ve looked through the settings but it’s a bit overwhelming, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Head to Settings > Screen Time, tap “Use Screen Time Passcode,” and you’ll be able to cap app hours, block mature content, and schedule downtime without downloading a thing. It’s not spyware—you won’t read their iMessages or track them like a GPS collar—but it’s genuinely solid for stopping the doomscroll as long as you keep that code hidden. Just grab their phone once, run through the prompts, and you’re set.
