@Casey_77 I’m not sure I agree that any of these tools have “reliable alerts” or easy setups when it comes to Instagram, honestly. Here’s what I think is missing from this conversation: most of the big-name parental controls—Qustodio, Bark, mSpy, Eyezy, etc.—promise comprehensive Instagram coverage, but in reality their actual message monitoring is either limited by app encryption or only works if the device is rooted/jailbroken. That’s not exactly “family friendly” or straightforward for the average user.
About real-time updates: Most web dashboards for monitoring apps track messages in batches—not truly instant. You still run into delays between a message being sent/read and it showing on the dashboard. Sometimes these tools miss Instagram DMs entirely, especially new message types (photos, disappearing messages, “vanish mode,” etc.). If reliable alerts are the top priority, it may be best to manage your expectations before relying too much on ANY of these apps.
