We take you privacy very seriously. This policy describes all information collected or submitted on the Boxy application for macOS, and what we do with it.
Francesco Di Lorenzo and Fabrizio Rinaldi, email@example.com.
Among the types of personal data that this Application collects, there are: email addresses, Cookies, and Usage data.
Login information is freely provided by the User, and is transmitted securely to Google servers to allow the user to login with his/her account. We then use the email addresses used to login in Boxy to enable Boxy’s features. We don’t read or store passwords.
The first email you add to Boxy is considered your primary email address and it’s securely collected on our servers, without any other Personal Data attached to it; we might use this email address to occasionally send you communications on our products, requests for feedback, and special announcements. We won’t ever share your email address with Third Parties besides the services we use to send the aforementioned emails, such as Sendinblue. If you prefer not to receive any communication from us, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in our emails, or by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Users are responsible for any Personal Data of third parties obtained, published or shared through this Application and confirm that they have the third party’s consent to provide the Data to the Owner.
We do not share your Personal Data or Usage Data with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Boxy’s functionality, with the exception of Fabric, which is embedded in Boxy’s code to provide crash reporting and usage analytics that allow us to monitor the app and track statistics and bus, making it easier to troubleshoot problems and improve Boxy.
Hence Usage Data is collected only to operate and improve the app and customer support. All the Usage Data we gather through Fabric is anonymous. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics regarding Boxy’s usage with outside parties, such as how many people are using the app on a given month.
When you use Google services, like “Inbox by Gmail” to which Boxy gives you access, you trust Google with your information and accept their terms of service, which can be found here: https://www.google.com/mail/help/terms_of_use.html.
The security of your personal data also depends on you. You should not share your Google user name and password with anyone. If you believe or find out that your login credentials are in the wrong hands, you should immediately change your password. We also recommend activating Google 2-Step Verification. We are not responsible for such unauthorized access unless the access is our fault.
We do not rent, sell, or share personally identifiable information about you with non-affiliated third parties (other than our subsidiaries and affiliates), except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission.
Any future change to this policy will be posted to this page. Your continued use of the Boxy app after we make any of these changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check this page periodically for updates (also linked in the Update and Welcome screens in the app itself).
If you have questions, you can reach us at email@example.com.
